Arty Giraffe Workshops October-December 2010

Booking and non-refundable deposit needed for all courses. Courses will only go ahead when we have enough participants. If Arty Giraffe cancels a workshop, the deposit will be refunded in full.

Materials are included in all course prices. All courses held at 850 Oxford Road, RG30 1EL. Car parking at the rear.

Ladies Night – Pottery painting

The french artist Sandrine Tabary will introduce you to painting with acrylics creating faboulous, colourful abstract paintings.Do a one off session on a Thursday afternoon or learn more over a 3 week course.

Enjoy playing with beautiful paper and decorate your own candle, t-lite holder and plack

Have some fun whilst making some beautiful unique pieces of jewellery that you can keep for yourself or give as a gift. Corrina Smith will take you though a couple of simple projects that will teach you all the basics you need to know and will give you the confidence to work with PMC. On this course we will make a pair of earrings and a necklace.

Come and join us in a friendly environement for a 3 weeks course in learning how to use your sewing machine

Bring your own sewing machine

Create something beautiful and useful with glass paints. After one session you will have a stunning jug to take home.

This course going over 3 weeks will teach you the techniques of drawing then painting Henna on to hands with cone.

Cookie Monster
This is a great one for getting everyone involved right from the start. In this workshop you will embellish biscuits and cookies using a variety of techniques including using both a piping bag and rolled fondant. Cookies come in all shapes and sizes and the theme can be anything from Christmas ornaments to handbags, mini wedding cake stacks or the good old gingerbread man.

Christmas toppers
I love a good topper don't you? In this workshop you will learn how to make some cute little figures that sit on top of a cake. Imagine creating your very own little Penguin, Snowman and Christmas tree! Or get the Christmas Carols going and craft your own choir.

Make some wonderful treats out of sweets and choclate!

Learn from Hanni how to make stunning Christmas cards and other cards with the use of beautiful threads and a fab stitching tecnique.

Pottery Painting – Walk in and Paint

At Arty Giraffe you will find shelves full of different plain white ceramic pieces, ready for you to paint. These are made of high quality ceramic clay and pre-fired ready for "Paint ‘n’ Go" or "Paint ‘n’ Glaze". Children and adults alike can come and pick a piece to paint during shop opening hours. Our Studio Fee is only £2 for each person plus the cost of the items you paint. Prices for an item varies from £3 - £20 with most items around £4-£9. Come and enjoy!
